Framing evil

Framing evil is inspired by discussions on various conspiracy theory websites. Here ’theorists’ claim to reveal the true and “hidden” nefarious identities of various politicians, financial magnates and celebrities by highlighting what they insist are imbedded demonic patterns in their skin. Using imagery to project and articulate beliefs about the nature of our world has been a tendency of all documented cultures. It might after all be a testimony of humans capacity to form abstract thought, se patterns and imagine ever so creative rationalizations. In a decentralized global system where the richest 1% now owns more than 50% of the worlds wealth, framing the perceived forces of good and evil is still essential for many in order to make sense of and position themselves within an increasingly complex and uncertain reality. In our western democracy, decentralised corporate power and free market capitalism, with the absence of dictatorships, monarchs or dominant religious figureheads, the “perpetrator” does not have a face and is nowhere to be found.
